My name is Tammy Winslett. In 1997 I found God and he filled me with his Spirit. Learning and growing closer to God he blessed me in a way I never thought possible. God has used me to write his word in Poetry. I know for a fact that this was God and not me. I have never wrote any poems in my life. My Poetry soon became blessed by being published in a book, by Publish America. It is called "God's Eternal Love Inspirational Christian Poetry". I am pleased to share one of these poems with you. As God blessed me I hope it blesses you.
This was truly prophesied by the prophet Joel
That God would pour out his Spirit upon every living soul.
With stammering lips and another tongue, read Isaiah 28:11
God shall speak unto his people, which is forever settled in heaven.
Speaking in another tongue is something you will do
And you will receive power after the Holy Ghost comes upon you.
On the day of Pentecost, from heaven it did come
They were filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke in other tongues.
Devoted men everywhere, were amazed at what they had seen
They spoke out loud to one another: Asking, "What does this mean"?
Peter stood up with the eleven; testified to every soul
As he said, "This is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel"
When hearts were pricked, they asked how to be saved
Peter then gave the instructions in Acts 2:38.
When you receive the Holy Ghost from heaven it will come
Like as a rushing mighty wind and you will speak in tongues.
The gift of the Holy Ghost is a promise unto you
For as many as the Lord shall call and unto your children too.
I once was in darkness, but now I can see
Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?
